Part 2

On the maiden test after the piston, small end, and gaskets renewed, on his return, test pilot T.Thomson returned to the garage and proclaimed to the highly stoned people inside that it was 'the fastest bike I've ever driven in my life !' he had got 72mph out of it. (which was a bit fucking stupid as the piston wasnt run in) but all the same. the bike was madder than it had ever been. I drove home at 60 with a great big fucking grin on my face that night. The Ty had been saved.

I now posessed the ultimate weapon. The picture on the first page doesent really show how small these bikes were in reality. Much lower than most other bikes. Leaving bigger bikes in the dust was all the more satisfying on a machine they have to look down to look at and has '50' stamped on the side.

The time I pissed all over Steven McLindick's brand new DT50 was especially funny. He'd wanted to kick my head in for some time, and saw me on the road and decided to chase me. he had no idea of TY's capabilities and I let him keep up with me until I found the nearest long straight. Then I went from 30 to 60 in about four seconds. He was a speck. and probably went home very confused. I never laughed so much since the time I shagged his mum ! :)

Occasionally the exhaust had to be de-coked. It was a FRESCO racing pipe, and certainly not standard. they origionally had restricted pipes to slow them down. De-coking wasnt easy due to some of the angles of the pipe, but once it was done hooyah! one hell of a rip to it !
